A Prayer for the Fast paced Seasons of Life

He says, “Be however, and know that I am God I will be exalted amongst the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” – Psalm 46:10

It was 5:30 am when I obtained the quick kiss and “I’ll see ya afterwards,” goodbye from my sweet hubby as he rushed out the door to take our center daughter to her softball match. I experienced another 30 minutes just before it was my time to “get going,” and I was going to soak in every single moment of it. But, when that alarm clock went off, my complete overall body groaned at the simple fact that it was now my time, and it was a single of “those weekends.” The divide and conquer weekends. I was tired. Weary of becoming immersed in this mad year of life. When my oldest came into our bed room with her softball socks in a single hand and her softball bag in the other, I realized I experienced to confront the destiny of the day. I forced myself out of mattress, woke up our minimal one, and we piled in the motor vehicle, heading in the opposite course for her match.

This season of our life is super hectic. When we’ve experienced numerous talks on how to sluggish down, re-set up our program, or make much more time for our daughters, and us, we however stop up right here – fast paced. Appropriate back again at sq. one. Managing around from event to function with our teen daughters, assisting them are living their greatest lives. Sigh. Sad to say, time is 1 issue we can by no means get again. So, my partner and I have managed to see this time for what it is – the “I’ll fulfill you on the couch at 10 pm, so we can hold hands and slide into a heap together” year. Our daughters need us, our relatives desires us, and we both have professions with deadlines, church obligations, and so many other issues that pull us apart in lots of distinct instructions. Though we goal for day evenings and the occasional alone time, we have discovered that prayer is our immediate lifeline. We can normally get by the day when we pray!

The other night time although we were being alongside one another in our normal place (the couch) my spouse looked around at me and said, “I wouldn’t want to do this mad fast paced existence with any individual else.” And, though quite a few times I want to throw in the towel, I would have to agree…I wouldn’t do this with any one else either! Then we sat in silence and soaked in the peace of that moment.

Let’s pray:
O Lord,
We appear in advance of You with this time of infinite parenting needs and question that You alleviate our burdens. Be with us Lord, as we are so exhausted. We know that You are a great Father and will maintain us during this season, so we invite You into our occupied lives and inquire You to grant us peace and settle our hearts. As we try to do our ideal to “juggle it all” though pouring love more than our small children and marriages, we talk to that we set our sights on You. Be there and be our guide. Present us Your presence as You breathe a minimal little bit of life and quiet into our chaos. Produce peace as only You can, as we obtain pockets of time when we can relaxation and lean in on You. Give us energy to endure just about every working day and walk beside us, top and protecting our family as we all disperse in different instructions.

Gracious God, we need to acknowledge that we are not usually excellent at knowing how to manage our schedules and can fill them up fairly speedily with pointless matters. We inquire that You remember to demonstrate us wherever we can use our time extra efficiently and properly, as we extended to honor You with our time. O God, You explain to us to “Be Continue to, and Know…” (Psalm 46:10). But it can be so difficult to discover these times to be continue to. We can also conveniently slide into the traps of looking for stillness and peace that we do not even understand the occasions when they are given to us. When we are at video games or functions, assist us locate strategies to slip absent and get tranquil with You. Those people times are so valuable to us, Lord. We thank You for Your unfailing enjoy and for granting us time in our working day to see You almost everywhere. We pray we just take see and appear up! Amen.
