A Prayer to Be Daring for the Gospel
By Laura Bailey

“For I fully expect and hope that I will hardly ever be ashamed, but I will carry on to be bold for Christ, as I have been in the previous. And I trust that my lifetime will deliver honor to Christ, no matter if I dwell or die.” Philippians 1:20 NLT

Just about every early morning I say the very same prayer, “Lord, open my eyes and coronary heart to see men and women who require to hear the Gospel right now. Give me the bravery to proclaim the Great News boldly.”

The words and phrases roll very easily off my tongue my coronary heart beats quickly as I consider about the potential prospects to share Jesus with another person. My blood pumps as I imagine the ripple consequences of someone giving their daily life to Christ–changing someone’s lifestyle, not just for the working day but for eternity. But, as I set foot in the planet, confronted with opposition, criticism, and self-doubt, my self-confidence wanes in return, retaining my lips shut. I lay my head on the pillow, disgrace consuming my feelings, a further day passed, and I chickened out.

Have you ever felt that way? You really feel the Holy Spirit nudging you to invite a co-worker to church, but you encourage you that your words will be offensive. You learn that a family member has recently turned absent from their faith, and you come to feel a solid wish to reach out but concern it may be a sophisticated discussion. A sister in Christ shares a viewpoint that contradicts the Bible you know you should really gently right her incorrect pondering but you should not want to deal with the confrontation.

There have been a lot of “skipped- options” to share the Gospel, lovingly position somebody again to Christ, or advocate for the infallibility of the Bible. But here is the fantastic news about the Good News: you won’t be able to thwart God’s plan. Each individual working day is an option for God to use you to provide men and women to Him! Paul wrote these words to the early church from a jail mobile:

For I totally be expecting and hope that I will under no circumstances be ashamed, but I will go on to be bold for Christ, as I have been in the previous. And I have faith in that my everyday living will bring honor to Christ, no matter if I are living or die.” (Philippians 1:20).

Paul was doubtful about his release from jail and long run trials, but he clung to the ability of the Gospel. He knew he would not be in a position to reside a best lifestyle, but his deepest desire was to, in just about every circumstance, bring glory and honor to the Lord–even if that meant demise. He leaned on the electrical power of the Holy Spirit, praying to request God to enable him be unashamed and boldly share Jesus. It is typical to come to feel nervous about sharing our religion. Nevertheless, when we start off to anxiety God over the fear of man (Hebrews 13:6), we can boldly, confidently, and with out hesitation proclaim the information of salvation the world desperately desires to hear.

Let us Pray:
Heavenly Father, we humbly arrive in advance of you and question for forgiveness for the numerous situations we have failed to proclaim the Gospel. Help us as we navigate our times to share the information of salvation. We know that you are lengthy-suffering with your individuals and that your appreciate, mercy, and grace are ample. Thank you.

May we be bold, leaning into the ability of the Holy Spirit, who guides and directs our words and phrases and steps. We pray for those people who don’t know You as Lord and Savior remember to open their eyes and hearts to acquiring You. Make sure you help us to make the most of every opportunity, for the times are small. Let us are living each working day as if it were being our past and give us a feeling of urgency and conviction. We love you, Lord, and are so grateful for the gift of your Son. We are so undeserving, still you died for us while we were even now sinners (Romans 5:8). May possibly we be vessels, the blessed ft which have the Gospel to the ends of the earth. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
